Brow Lift Surgery
Are you concerned about scarring? Don't be.
The Gliding Brow Lift A Cutting-Edge Technique
At The Landings Surgical Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, our facial plastic surgeons are excited to offer the gliding brow lift (GBL) technique. Compared to traditional surgeries, this technique produces more predictable results and allows for more precise reshaping of the eyebrow itself. The GBL technique also uses a tiny five-millimeter incision. Patients who qualify for this type of procedure can expect minimal side effects, a reduced recovery time, and little to no visible scarring.
But I'm Not Sure if I Need a Facelift Instead...
Brow Lift
A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, removes sagging skin and fat in the upper portion of the face that results from the natural aging process. The procedure is also beneficial for a naturally low, sagging brow or patients who have developed lines and folds from muscle stress.
Facelift Surgery
A facelift actually targets very different parts of the face–the mid and lower face, in particular. This means it's best when both procedures are performed at the same time. Another complementary procedure is blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, to specifically lift sagging upper eyelids.
On the other hand, do I really need plastic surgery?
BOTOX® injections can be used to address areas of limited concern, such as frown lines between the eyebrows. BOTOX Cosmetic is made of a substance that paralyzes the muscles, which smoothes out lines and wrinkles.
5-Star Reviews
I had a previous procedure with Dr. Bender-Samuel and was more than pleased so when I decided to enhance my lips I went to see Joanne who was amazing!!! She was honest in her assessment, answered all my questions, made me feel completely at ease and the procedure was quick, painless and I left very satisfied with the results. I would highly recomend the Landing Surgical Centre to anyone. Also praise for the front desk staff who were also very knowledgeable and friendly and provided me with great information before my visit. I couldn't be happier.

They have participated in global training offering services and education not available in other clinics in Atlantic Canada. Traditional vs. Endoscopic Brow Lift Surgery
Traditional Brow Lift
During the traditional brow lift procedure, an incision is made behind the hairline, which extends above the ears and across the scalp. The incision is designed to be unnoticeable after the healing process. In some cases, the incision may be placed in the middle of the scalp or in front of the hairline, depending on the needs of the patient. The surgeon then removes skin, muscle, and fatty tissue, and lifts the eyebrows into a more youthful position.
Endoscopic Brow Lift
Our surgeons can also perform limited endoscopic brow lift surgery to enhance the appearance of patients who require less drastic changes. This procedure is minimally invasive since only a few tiny incisions on the scalp are necessary. During the endoscopic brow lift procedure, a thin tube attached to a video camera (called an endoscope), as well as several other small surgical instruments, are inserted through the incisions in order to help the surgeon enhance the appearance of the brow and forehead areas.
